Dua Lipa Stars In New Action Movie Trailer 'Argylle'

Dancing the night away was just part of her plan…

From a mermaid to a secret agent, Dua Lipa has definitely made a transition into film. The movie Argylle directed by Matthew Vaughn has released its first trailer and the pop singer is at the center of it.

Lipa’s signature dark locks are replaced with a bleach blonde bob. The singer turned actress struts in a gold dress across the dance floor to Henry Cavill who plays the title name, Argylle. She inquires if Argylle can dance as well as he dresses. As the two dance, Lipa’s character confirms that she knows Argylle’s identity and that she is also an agent before everyone in the room points a gun at him.

The following clips are montages of action shots that belong in a James Bond film, ending with John Cena’s character lifting Lipa up in the air off a moving motorcycle. As viewers are drawn in, the trailer cuts to the real world where fans realize that everything they just saw was fake, a novel story line, written by an author played by Bryce Dallas Howard

Howard’s character soon finds herself in a real life espionage scheme while traveling on a train and meeting Sam Rockwells character who is a real life spy. The author’s world is flipped upside down when she learns her writing is at the center of drama between real agents.

Joining Lipa and the other cast members are some A-list celebrities including Samuel L. Jackson, Ariana DeBose, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara and Sofia Boutella

There is something for everyone in this movie from the action storyline to Howard’s comedic pet cat who somehow always ends up ruining the mission. Movie fans will be able to watch Argylle February 2024 only in theaters.

Lipa reports that her next album following the pop hit Future Nostalgia will be released next year. The “Levitating” singer had an exciting summer not only playing Mermaid Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s box office sensation Barbie, but also contributing to the movie’s main track “Dance The Night,” which appeared top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
