From the PATRÓN Tequila Lounge to the Dance Floor: Clippers, Cocktails, and Kendrick

Inside an Unforgettable Night in LA…
On Saturday night, I got dolled up in a recently-purchased Clippers jersey (sorry, Lakers!), heeled boots, and a silk floor-length coat, and headed over to the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. My destination? The New PATRÓN Tequila Lounge, the latest hotspot for basketball fans who like their games served with a side of luxury. I was ready for a night of VIP action, top-tier tequila, and a sprinkle of celebrity sightings—and the experience did not disappoint.
As soon as I arrived at the Intuit Dome and met my colleague, we could both feel the buzz in the air. The venue is a marvel—sleek, modern, and brimming with energy. Outside, fans were decked out in Clippers gear, snapping selfies in front of the massive LED screens showcasing player highlights. The excitement was contagious, and I couldn’t wait to see what the evening had in store.
Walking into the PATRÓN Tequila Lounge felt like stepping into a chic, high-energy hideaway. The space is decked out with plush seating, ambient lighting, and tons of food options. The bartenders worked like artists, crafting cocktails that looked as good as they tasted.

The lounge wasn’t just a pregame pit stop; it was a vibe. Groups of friends mingled over drinks, couples toasted with glasses of PATRÓN Silver, and VIPs—yes, I spotted a familiar face or two from Instagram—sipped bespoke cocktails crafted to their liking. It was the perfect blend of elegance and energy, a spot where die-hard Clippers fans and nightlife aficionados could unite.
As game time approached, we made our way to our seats. The roar of the crowd was electrifying as the Clippers took the court. From the opening tip-off, it was clear we were in for a show. The team came out firing, and the energy in the dome was infectious. Every three-pointer, every dunk, every steal was met with deafening cheers. I couldn’t help but get caught up in the excitement, high-fiving strangers and shouting encouragement like I’d been a Clippers superfan my entire life.

Halftime brought us back to the PATRÓN Tequila Lounge for a quick bite to eat. It’s not every day you get to watch a game and feel like you’re at an exclusive cocktail party at the same time.
The second half of the game was a nail-biter, but the Clippers held their ground, ultimately securing a hard-fought victory against the Milwaukee Bucks. The crowd erupted in celebration, and the energy in the dome was nothing short of electric. As the players left the court to a standing ovation, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride—this was more than just a game; it was an experience.

But our night wasn’t over yet. After the final buzzer, we headed downtown to The Reserve for the Drake vs. Kendrick party. If the Intuit Dome was buzzing, The Reserve was positively lit. The venue, a former bank turned nightclub, was packed with fans of the artists, although I think I was one of the only Drake fans there. The DJ wasted no time spinning hit after hit from the two rap icons.
The energy was unmatched. Groups of friends debated who was better, Drake or Kendrick, while others danced like their lives depended on it. I’m proud to say I held my own on the dance floor, heels and all. The drinks were flowing, and the vibe was pure celebration—a perfect way to cap off an unforgettable night.

By the time I finally slid into an Uber, my feet were sore, my voice was hoarse, and my heart was full. From the excitement of the Clippers game to the luxury of the PATRÓN Tequila Lounge and the high-energy party at The Reserve, it was a night to remember. As I watched the lights of LA blur past my window, one thing was clear: Saturdays like this are what living in this city is all about.
So here’s to the Clippers, to PATRÓN, and to nights that start with basketball and end with a beat. Until next time, LA.
