September Look of the Month: Emili Sindlev

She’s giving main character…

It’s bittersweet that Summer is over and the pool side flings, tan lines, and ‘rosé all day’ lunches are being exchanged for pine scents, pumpkin spice, and scarves. Then again, the upside to the change in weather, just before the leaves turn (in cities where that actually happens), is we get weeks and weeks of star-studded fashion shows, epic after parties and roaring energy throughout the top fashion cities.

New York Fashion Week kick starts the season, and then it is off to Milan which is where I saw my selection for Loop’s Look of the month, September: Emili Sindlev. Emili strutted through Milan Fashion Week at the Sportmax runway show in a long red patent leather trench coat by Saint Laurent paired with THE ROW button-down, thin leather Saint Laurent tie, and Jacquemus ribbed cycling shorts. This look was edgy, sleek, and sexy. Not to mention, she’s giving modern Carrie Bradshaw running through the streets of Manhattan in the perfect shoe, a lot of slender legs, and big hair. The bright red, calf-length trench was so bold and completely trendy. We have been seeing tons of red-on-red looks over the last few months, but I love how she was able to balance differing silhouettes (a boxy, oversized shoulder and skintight hot pants) and color tones in this ensemble. Emili paired the look with the Prada Double logo triangle bag in black along with Amina Mauddi Caroline Nappa heels and Balenciaga unisex frames. Fashion risk or not, she pulled this look OFF. Her jewelry was simple, just a pair of small gold hoops and a few rings to complete it all. It was intriguing and unexpected. Her caption on IG even said, “late for work.” In this look, I would be fashionably late for just about anywhere!
