The Perfect Sunday Funday in LA

Brunch, Good Friends, and Sunset Vibes…

Los Angeles is a city that knows how to do Sundays right, and mine was the perfect mix of indulgence, sun-soaked vibes, and nonstop dancing. If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I’m going to make the most of a weekend, and this Sunday was no exception. From a chic brunch at Casa Madera to poolside partying at the Good Friends event at SkyBar and ending the night with hip-hop-fueled moves at 3rd Base LA, here’s how I spent the ultimate Sunday in LA.

Brunch Goals at Casa Madera

No Sunday Funday can start without a fabulous brunch, and Casa Madera was the perfect spot to kick things off. Nestled in West Hollywood with its dreamy aesthetic and boho-chic ambiance, the place just oozes elegance. My friend and I secured a cozy table, ready to indulge in some much-needed fuel for the day ahead.

Naturally, espresso martinis were the first order of business. But not just any espresso martini—mine had to be made with Jack Daniel’s, of course. Smooth, rich, and packing just the right amount of punch, it was the perfect wake-up call. For food, I kept it classic with a Caesar salad topped with tender, juicy chicken and drenched in a creamy, flavor-packed dressing that was chef’s kiss. I also stole a few bites of my friend’s vegan sandwich—layered with crisp greens, fresh avocado, and a tangy aioli that gave it just the right amount of kick (because sharing is caring).

As we sipped our cocktails and enjoyed our meals, the energy in Casa Madera was exactly what I needed—lively but not overwhelming, with the perfect mix of stylish brunch-goers and a killer playlist that had us subtly grooving in our seats. But as much as I could have lounged there all day, we had a full itinerary of fun ahead.

Poolside Vibes at the Good Friends Party at SkyBar

With brunch done, it was time to turn things up a notch. Enter SkyBar  at the Mondrian, home to one of the best pools in LA. The Good Friends event was about to kick off, and we knew we were in for an unforgettable afternoon.

Picture this: the sun glistening off the pool, the sound of deep house and hip-hop beats blending perfectly in the air, and an effortlessly cool crowd dancing under the open sky. We grabbed drinks, found a table near the DJ booth, and let the music take over. The energy was electric—everyone was there to have a good time, and it showed.

With my tan linen suit and Prada loafers, I was serving relaxed luxury, while my friends rocked their own effortlessly chic looks. One wore a flirty skirt with a crop top and heels, while another kept it casual but stylish in jeans and a crop top. We were a walking fashion editorial, blending in seamlessly with the effortlessly cool LA crowd.

Dancing poolside with a cocktail in hand, surrounded by good friends and an even better atmosphere, is exactly how Sundays should be spent. I even made a ton of new friends, which only added to the magic of the afternoon. Time seemed to blur between the music, the laughter, and the golden-hour glow that made everything feel just a little more magical. But we weren’t done yet—the night was still young, and we had one last stop to make.

Ending the Night at 3rd Base

After a day in the sun, you’d think we’d be ready to call it a night. Think again. We made our way to 3rd Base LA, where the energy was just as high but with a sultry, late-night twist.

From the moment we stepped in, the beats of Drake and Sexyy Red were pulsing through the speakers, setting the perfect mood for a night of non-stop dancing. The dimly lit, sports-lounge-meets-nightclub vibe of 3rd Base made it an ideal spot to close out the night.

We grabbed another round of drinks and made our way to the dance floor, where we spent the rest of the night moving to our favorite tracks. The DJ knew exactly how to keep the crowd hyped, and every song transition had us screaming in excitement. From the summery flow of Nokia to the undeniable energy of Get It Sexyy we were locked in and fully in the moment.

There’s something about nights like these—when the music, the people, and the city itself come together in perfect harmony—that make LA feel like a dream. It was the kind of night where time didn’t matter, where the only focus was having fun and making memories.

The Perfect LA Sunday

By the time we finally called it a night, my feet were sore, my voice was hoarse from singing along to every song, and my heart was full. From a picture-perfect brunch to a sun-drenched pool party and ending with a high-energy dance fest, this Sunday was one for the books.

LA is a city that thrives on moments like these—where brunch turns into a party, where the music doesn’t stop, and where the energy is always at a ten. And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that I’ll be doing it all over again next Sunday. Who’s in?
