Sydney Sweeney Goes All Out On '80s Prom-Themed Birthday Party

Girls just wanna have fun…

No one quite does themed parties like Hollywood stars, and Sydney Sweeney’s 26th birthday party was no exception. The Euphoria star held an ’80s prom-themed party, and she was committed to the bit.

There’s so much to talk about when it comes to this party, but Sweeney’s look takes the cake (pun-intended). In an Instagram post captioned, “Will you go to prom with me,” fans got a look at the actress’s style for an evening.

Sweeney’s blonde hair is curled and teased to mimic a signature ’80s perm, her neck is decorated with a gemstone hot pink choker, and her dress reeks of ’80s fashion. The drop waist hot pink mini dress has puff sleeves with flower attachments and a skirt that flares out at the end.

In addition to the choker, Sweeney finished off the look with other pink bejeweled accessories including rhinestone bow heels and a Self-Portrait minibag. And of course, it would not be the ’80s without some dramatic eye makeup. The Voyeurs actress wore a glittery pink shadow and dramatic eyeliner to top everything off.

The guest list was star studded and many seemed to appreciate the “Syd’s prom” theme. Brazilian artist Anitta posted on her story a picture of her and the bday girl with the caption, “My first prom thanks to the bday girl.”

Queer Eye star Tan France shared a similar sentiment with his story saying, “Thanks for making my first ever prom such an awesome experience @sydney_sweeny. Happy Birthday.”

Other guests included Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Camila Mendes, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Dylan Mulvaney. Through all the photos, fans were able to get more glimpses into the party including the three tier blue and pink birthday cake!

Sweeney herself posted an Instagram reel to the hit ’80s song, “Girls Just Wanted To Have Fun” that included a montage of polaroids from the evening. Sticking to the theme, she captioned the post “26 Candles,” alluding to the hit 1984 movie 16 Candles.

It’s clear 26 is already going to be a great year for the actress as her next project Anyone But You with Glen Powell is set to release in December. But for right now, Sydney Sweeney is having a great time celebrating Virgo season.
