We also predict that Kendrick Lamar will not only win the Record Of The Year, but also the Album Of The Year. Kendrick’s album, Black Panther has a variety of artists contributing to its geniusness. This album made it to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this past year. Lamar not only wrote and rapped on this album, but his record label “Top Dawg Entertainment” produced it. Is Kendrick stealing Mr. West’s crown? We think so.

Although this years Grammy nominations leaned in rap and hip-hops favor, we can’t help but feel that Shallow from A Star Is Born deserves to win Song Of The Year. From endless tweets to YouTube vocal covers, people were addicted to this soundtrack. The song Shallow was definitely the definition of 2018 and we would not be surprised if they took home this Grammy award.

4) Best Pop Vocal Album-

  • Camila- Camila Cabello
  • Meaning Of Life- Kelly Clarkson
  • Sweetener- Ariana Grande
  • Shawn Mendes- Shawn Mendes

Shawn Mendes stole our hearts this year with his Billboard #1 hits In My Blood and Lost In Japan. With his smooth vocals, romantic lyrics, and that loveable Ed Sheeran vibe. His self-titled album Shawn Mendes is what we all love about pop music. We predict that Shawn Mendes will win this years Grammy for “Best Pop Vocal Album”.

  • “Losing It”- Fisher
  • “Electricity”- Silk City & Dua Lipa Featuring Diplo & Mark Ronson
  • “Ghost Voices”- Virtual Self

We can’t help obsessing over Dua Lipa, but a song produced with Silk City, Diplo, and Mark Ronson? Let’s just say we know it’ll be a banger. With those strong vocals, heavenly lyrics and that danceable beat we can’t stop singing and dancing along when we hear this song. We predict that Electricity will win Best Dance Recording at the 2019 Grammys.

  • Sex & Cigarettes- Toni Braxton
  • Good Thing- Leon Bridges

Gabriella Wilson, aka H.E.R, is one of our top predictions when it comes to taking home a 2019 Grammy award. We are in awe of her, she is nominated for multiple Grammys this year! The album H.E.R has a unique message about being an underdog and not always feeling like you fit in. H.E.R. is competing against established legends like Toni Braxton and Leon Bridges. Ironically, we still predict that H.E.R. will win Best R&B Album with her ethereal flow and classic R&B vibe.

7) Best Rap Song-

  • “God’s Plan”-  Aubrey Graham, Daveon Jackson, Brock Korsan, Ron LaTour, Matthew Samuels & Noah Shebib, songwriters (Drake)

Although we believe Kendrick Lamar slayed the 2019 Grammys, Drake also received seven nominations! Drake’s song God’s Plan was Billboards longest leading top 100 hit of 2018. This doesn’t surprise us, year after year Drake comes out with hit albums. Drake sings about God’s plan and refers to his own story working in the music industry. People can relate to his lyrics “…it’s a lot of bad things that they wishin’ and wishin’… on me”. We have a feeling that Drake will take home the Best Rap Song award at the 2019 Grammys.
