Samsung & ‘Summer House’ Star Carl Radke are Changing the Healthy Living Game

Sweat, glow, go…

Samsung has introduced a new way to optimize your workouts, utilizing wearable technology to guide you through your routines. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers high durability and massive screen power. The other fun wearable device, the Galaxy Watch 8, has been redesigned to provide better guidance during your workouts. A built-in run coach to help you at any level of running you choose, and the redesign includes a sleek band and a new cushion.

Samsung Galaxy recently held a “We Run on Rest” event in New York City, led by Bravo Star Carl Radke, where he guided a group of runners, including LOOP Mag, on a 1.5-mile run along the west side highway. Radke has maintained a healthy lifestyle, focusing on mindfulness and healthy life habits.

During our run, I got a chance to catch up with Carl and learn more about his approach to health and why he shifted his lifestyle.

Reality TV played a big part in the decisions you made in life. What was the most significant shift for you to go into running and living a healthier life?

Being on reality TV means committing to sharing your life with the world. Over the past ten years, living out my highs and lows in front of an audience has forced me to face myself.  The most significant shift for me came after I lost my brother; his passing was devastating. It wasn’t until January 2021 that I finally hit a point where I knew I couldn’t live my life in the way I had been. I started prioritizing both my mental and physical health. Running, therapy, fitness – it all became a way to show up for myself and for the people I love.

Now, I use my platform on Summer House to be open and vulnerable about my journey. That honesty also inspired me to open my non-alcoholic bar, Soft Bar – a space where people can feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves.

So yeah, reality TV played a role – it helped me share my story and help others. But the fundamental transformation happened when I stopped performing for others and started living for me.

We also chatted more about what wearable technology means, and his favorite feature in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone.

What is your favorite feature in both the Samsung phone and watch?

Technology plays such a significant role in how I maintain a healthy lifestyle, especially as I train for the New York City Marathon. Staying consistent with my routines – whether it’s running, meditating, or keeping tabs on my sleep – has been a game changer, and having the right tools makes that easier. That’s why this partnership was such a natural fit for me.

One thing I love about the Samsung Watch is how it keeps me accountable. I can track my heart rate, monitor my stress levels, and see how well I’m sleeping – and can easily share with my running coach. It’s super motivating to have that data in real time.

If I had to pick a favorite feature of the Galaxy Watch 8, I’d say the new Running Coach tool is a standout. It is designed to help you improve your running ability. It even creates a custom training plan based on your fitness level. On the phone, I love the Samsung Health app – having everything in one place makes it simple to stay dialed in and focused

I know you are all eager to learn more about Season 10 of Summer House, but I can assure you that Radke wants his fans to be a part of it all. So I posed the question, how can his fans feel involved in this wellness journey?

Summer House played a huge role in your life. How are you planning on connecting your viewers to your running journey?

Summer House has played such a massive role in my life – it’s where people have seen my real journey, from the highs to the very real lows. I’ve always tried to be transparent with where I’m at, and lately, running has become a massive part of that story. It’s not just about staying in shape – it’s a way for me to clear my mind, remain grounded, and continue showing up for myself every day.

I plan on sharing more of that with viewers – whether it’s through social media, events, or even moments on the show.

Also, now with my partnership with Samsung, I have even more tools to share that journey. Whether I’m tracking my runs, monitoring my progress, or posting updates right from my Galaxy Watch or phone, it allows me to stay connected with my audience in real time.

I want to show viewers that running isn’t just about the physical – it’s about mental strength, discipline, and building something positive. If sharing my experience inspires even one person to take that first step, then I’m doing something right.
