They’re hereeee….
Cinespia recently hosted a special screening of “Poltergeist” at Hollywood Forever Cemetery that hosted actor Aaron Paul and his wife Lauren to celebrate the star’s birthday.
The screening also featured a surprise introduction from one of the 1982 supernatural horror film’s stars, Oliver Robins.
“Poltergeist” was directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg, Michael Grais and Mark Victor. It stars JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson and Beatrice Straight, and was produced by Spielberg and Frank Marshall.
The iconic film focuses on a suburban family whose home is invaded by malevolent ghosts that abduct their youngest daughter.
Back for its 22nd season, presented by Amazon Studios, Cinesipa has long been famous for bringing movie magic to life among the dead. What began with a screening of “Strangers on a Train” for a few hundred people has become a L.A. institution, hosting hundreds of thousands of moviegoers on the cemetery’s famed Fairbanks Lawn.
Now the most popular outdoor cinema event in Southern California, welcoming up to 4,000 moviegoers per night, Cinespia guests are invited to bring their own blankets, food, and drinks (including beer and wine), before settling in under the stars for a classic (and sometimes campy) cinematic experience. Every screening also features world class DJ talent to keep the crowd buzzing before and after the main event and film-themed photobooth activations.
