Inside Cinespia's Star-Studded Screening of 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion'

“Do you have some sort of businesswomen’s special?”….

On July 15, Cinespia hosted a special summer screening of “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

The nostalgic night brought out several famous faces, including singer Hayley Kiyoko, singer Troye Sivan, comedy star Benito Skinner and more.

The beloved 1997 comedy stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino as two BFF who decide to reinvent themselves to impress former classmates at their ten-year high school reunion. “Romy and Michele” also stars Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming and Camryn Manheim.

Back for its 22nd season, presented by Amazon Studios, Cinesipa has long been famous for bringing movie magic to life among the dead. What began with a screening of “Strangers on a Train” for a few hundred people has become a L.A. institution, hosting hundreds of thousands of moviegoers on the cemetery’s famed Fairbanks Lawn.

Now the most popular outdoor cinema event in Southern California, welcoming up to 4,000 moviegoers per night, Cinespia guests are invited to bring their own blankets, food, and drinks (including beer and wine), before settling in under the stars for a classic (and sometimes campy) cinematic experience. Every screening also features world class DJ talent to keep the crowd buzzing before and after the main event and film-themed photobooth activations.
