Beyoncé And Jay-Z Drop $200 Million On Malibu Home

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have dropped a whopping $200 million on an expansive estate in Malibu, according to TMZ and Architectural Digest, officially making it the most expensive home ever purchased in California. 

The price tag smashes the previous record of the $177 million that Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen paid for his Malibu home in 2021. Before that, Jeff Bezos’ $160 million purchase of his Beverly Hills home in 2020 held the record.

The outlets report that the deal—which was closed all cash—is also the second most expensive in the history of U.S. real estate, as a New York City apartment previously sold for $238 million.

The over 30,000-square-foot, all concrete Malibu mansion was meticulously designed by renowned Japanese master architect Tadao Ando and was quietly purchased from William Bell, one of the biggest art collectors in the world, per TMZ

The property sits on an eight-acre bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove area of Malibu, also known as Billionaires’ Row. (See photos of the house HERE).

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s stunning new beach pad is the just the latest get in their impressive portfolio of real estate. The power couple also owns a home in New York City’s swanky TriBeCa neighborhood (where they tied the knot in 2008) and a $88 million mansion in the Bel Air. They also own a mansion in New Orleans, which they had put up for sale, but took it took it off the market in 2021.

The Grammy winners—who share three children: Blue Ivy, 11, and twins Rumi and Sir, 5—clearly had no problem affording their new digs. According to Forbes, Beyoncé has a net worth of $450 million, while Jay-Z has $2.5 billion to his name.

Beyoncé is currently in Europe on the first leg of her Renaissance World Tour, which kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10. The “Drunk In Love” singer will bring her show to Los Angeles for a highly-anticipated three night run at SoFi Stadium in early September.
