Getting‘ jazzy...
As the presenting travel partner of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Expedia brought together an eclectic mix of globally influenced artists and musicians to their Global Jam event on April 26 at the Joy Theater, showcasing the power of global movement and the soul of New Orleans.
The evening, during Jazz Fest Weekend 1, featured live music from Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Tang and the Bangas, Bomba Estéreo, The Mardi Gras Indians and more, and offered the opportunity for artists to join each other’s sets throughout the night, for impromptu jam sessions and once-in-a-lifetime musical collaborations.
Throughout Global Jam, guests including Peyton List, Big Freedia, Karrueche Tran and Jon Batiste, enjoyed custom cocktails named after New Orleans landmarks and other cultural symbols alongside savory and sweet light bites.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, or as the locals call it, Jazz Fest, is the celebration of the unique culture and heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana. Featuring an endless amount of music, succulent local and regional delicacies, one-of-a-kind handmade arts and crafts, second-line parades and so much more.
