While many of us are still recovering from the Fourth Of July, our friends over in France are gearing up to celebrate Bastille Day on July 14. In French, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (French National Day) and marks the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, a turning point of the French Revolution.
But just because we are across the pond, doesn’t mean we can’t get in on the French fun. So dust off your Parisian dancing shoes, don your favorite beret and check out six spots in Los Angeles going all out with Bastille Day parties. Oui Oui!
La Boheme
Get ready for the largest and most festive Bastille Day event in Los Angeles, taking place at La Boheme in West Hollywood and produced by French Tuesdays for the third consecutive year. In the true spirit of French revolution, the program for the night will immerse you in a captivating blend of French and international DJ music. Prepare to be transported by the enchanting performances of the French Cancan dancers from Cabaret Versatile, accompanied by a talented singer who will set the stage aglow in the first part of the night. You will have a chance to practice or learn French with the team of Alliance Francaise of Los Angeles, who will have table for your convenience. You can also win a trip to Paris from L.A. thanks to French Bee the newest airline from the U.S. to France. Throughout the evening, you will have the option to indulge in a delightful seated dinner, available both indoors and outdoors. To make this experience even more enchanting, guests are encouraged to embrace the suggested dress code of blue, red, white, or any combination thereof.
