On June 13, Sports and Hollywood collided to kick off the 2023 US Open Golf Championship at the exclusive and small private Casamigos party at the home of co-founder Mike Meldman in Los Angeles.
Guests entered the party by taking a shot of the new Casamigos Cristalino poured from a custom golf themed ice luge. Casamigos co-founder Rande Gerber and wife Cindy Crawford were on hand along with celebs such as Larry David, actors Chris O’Donnell and Josh Duhamel, Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers, “Selling Sunset” stars Emma Herman and Chrishell Stause with G Flip, “Extra” star Billy Bush and basketball coach Doc Rivers and more.
Professional golfers Harris English, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson with Paulina Gretzky and Rickie Fowler with Allison Stokke were also spotted at the bash.
Everyone enjoyed an evening of drinks, dinner featuring pizza from renowned chef Chris Bianco and dancing to a live performance by musician Kelley James.
Casamigos also served three specialty cocktails; Ginger Mint Palomas, Spicy Watermelon Basil Margaritas and Cristalino Ranch Water.
The 2023 U.S. Open—now in its 123rd year—is the national open golf championship of the United States. The 72-hole stroke play tournament is scheduled for June 15 through June 18 on the North Course of Los Angeles Country Club.
The event marks the first time in 75 years that the championship has been played in L.A. when golfer Ben Hogan won at the Riviera Country Club. This years also marks the first time hosting duties of the ultra-exclusive Los Angeles Country Club. (Fun Fact: The Playboy Mansion borders the 13th hole of the Los Angeles Country Club’s North course, yet, according to legend, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was never granted membership to the club.)
