From Shots to Lattes: West Hollywood’s Best Post-Night-Out Coffee Fixes

If you partied in West Hollywood all night, these are the cafes you’ll want to stumble into the next morning to cure that hangover.

A night out in West Hollywood is always worth it…until the morning after. Whether you were sipping martinis on Sunset, or dancing on until last call, once it’s all over and the hangover starts to kick in, only coffee can save you. Luckily, WeHo’s cafe scene knows how to deliver the kind of caffeine and carbs that bring you back to life. These are the six cafes I swear by when I need to swap late-night shots for a morning-after latte.

Javista

Javista is the type of cafe that you can stumble into with last night’s makeup still on, and instantly feel rejuvenated, not just from its peaceful ambiance, but with its delicious menu. They blend high quality organic coffee with an inviting atmosphere of plants, art, and even a shoppable area of home decor and accessories. The go-to duo that never fails to revive me after a long night of dancing is their breakfast burrito and iced vanilla latte. They even host “after hours” wine & bites every weekend, so the switch from cafe to bar is baked into their DNA.

Farm Cup Coffee

Some of the best coffee in WeHo comes straight from a little yellow bus, better known as Farm Cup Coffee. This spot is for the mornings when you want quality service, zero fuss, and baristas who don’t care that you’re wearing sunglasses indoors and last night’s outfit. The coffee is smooth and delicious, while the environment is easy-going and adorned with decor that feels homey, almost like you’re recovering at a friend’s place. My go-to drink here is “The Artist,” which pairs perfectly with one of their many pastries.

Community Goods

Community Goods is one of LA’s most talked-about coffee shops, and for good reason. The vibe here is dictated by their tasty menu, social energy, and celebrity praise. The interior, while small, is still inviting, warm, and wood-filled. The line is notoriously long, so if you don’t mind standing in a 45 minute line (yes, I once timed it), their Einspanner Latte and renowned breakfast sliders are definitely worth the wait. The pairing of these delicious flavors will almost make you forget about your questionable decisions from the night before.

Miss Melbourne

Want your coffee served up with an Australian accent? Go to Miss Melbourne, which is known for their Aussie roots, nailing flat whites, and rich espresso. The ambiance is clean and simple: perfect for when you need a blank canvas to start your day after a night of overstimulation. This is the stop for when you want your caffeine buzz without the unnecessary flair, as the space whispers “recover here,” rather than “look at me.” Order the Vegemite & Avocado Toast with a Salted Caramel Cold Brew and consider your hangover officially handled.

Dialog Cafe

When you need more than just caffeine to revive your spirits, Dialog comes through with a full menu and variety of delectable drinks. From coffee and matcha, to signature smoothies and full breakfast plates, Diaglog is one of WeHo’s most reliable cafe stops. With full restaurant seating, and an often recognizable crowd of LA’s hottest insiders, Dialog is a great option if your spirits are still high enough to keep the good times flowing post-night out. Their Cloud Cream Kyoto Cold Brew is so good that it stops the pounding in your head, while their breakfast burrito remains a fan-favorite.

Coffee Commissary

Coffee Commissary is the kind of place you can count on when your brain is too fogged to decide which drink is best to order, because they’re all solid options. Roasted right here in LA, and opened early in the morning, this is the local’s spot to start (or restart) their day. Their turmeric latte, “Iced Golden Milk,” is an earthy, sweet pick-me-up, and their Sticky Bun Banana Muffin never disappoints. With seven locations spread throughout LA, this is a community favorite for a reason.
