“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.” Pantone, a company known for its color matching system and has created a color of the year for the last 25 years would greatly agree with the quote from Wassily Kadinsky.
The color and trend forecasting company has announced Peach Fuzz to be the color of the year, an unexpected muted tone after last year’s Viva Magenta. Executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, explains that Peach Fuzz “echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection.”

The color is meant to reflect the stressful year ahead with intense politics all over the world, and the need for gentleness. “We chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance,” Eieman says. “A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”
It may be hard to incorporate Peach Fuzz, traditionally a day time color into night time looks. However, Pantone even says itself that the color is “velvety” and “subtly sensual,” themes that can definitely be worked into nightlife.
