Inside Richie Akiva's THE AFTER Party At Casa Cipriani

Following the 2024 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala—aka the Met Gala—nightlife legend Richie Akiva hosted his 10th annual after-party in New York City. Dubbed THE AFTER, the bash was presented by Ray-Ban and cohosted by Doja Cat, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae, Teyana Taylor, Rita Ora and Vetements’ Guram Gvasalia.
The star-studded affair kicked off at Casa Cipriani which was transformed into a vision of ethereal, magical and sexy red florals reflective of the Met’s Garden of Time Theme. There was no shortage of celebrities and the fashion elite including Irina Shayk, Winne Harlow, LaQuan Smith,Lewis Hamilton, Lana Del Ray, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade and more.
Other famous guests who joined the hosts for the red floral themed affair included Baz Lurhmann, Cardi B., Offset, Usher, Camila Cabello, , Justine Skye, Lil Nas X, Winnie Harlow, Vittoria Ceretti, Jaden Smith, Ben Simmons, Lizzo, Paige DeSorbo, Ming Lee Simmons, Odell Beckham Jr, Joan Smalls and many more.
Kaytranada, Zack Bia, Uncle Waffles, Chase B and Hank all guest DJed the affair as Richie emceed on stage. A birthday presentation was also given to Ray-Ban President and evening co-host Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, who was joined by his fiancé, model and actress Jessica Serfaty (wearing archival custom Dolce & Gabbana).
Partygoers were greeted upon arrival with Sainte Marguerite en Provence Rosé, and Perrier-Jouet Champagne. Specialty cocktails also welcomed attendees including a Malfy Italian Gin Negroni, Mumm Napa Sparkling Poppi Orange Spritzer, and an Absolut Lemon Lime Poppi cocktail.
As groups settled at their tables, Codigo Tequila, and Perrier-Jouet champagne flowed. Peroni Nastro Azzurro Italian Beer was also featured along with The Glenlivet, Jefferson’s Whiskey, Martell, Lillet, and Kahlua. Prebiotic soda brand poppi was the official soda sponsor for the evening, serving colorful cans to guests all night long.
Top models who attended the gala arrived in their after party looks and Ray-Ban provided their newest Ray-Ban Reverse sunglasses which launched just last year, a cutting-edge inverted lens design shifting from a traditional convex lens to a concave lens.
Fun elements surprised guests such as candy station and late night party goers were treated to Neat vegan burger delights such as Neat dogs, Burgers, Chick’n and Fries, plus desserts like Casa Cipriani chocolate Gelato.
