If you’re on social media, chances are you’ve seen the viral TikTok trend with Jon Hamm and the audio “Turn the Lights Off.” When international DJ and powerhouse producer Justė created the inescapable and unforgettable track that’s stuck in all of our heads on replay, she had no idea it would reach the level of virality that it did. Now, she’s using that traction to catapult her sound across Europe as she conquers nightclubs and festivals this Spring and Summer.
Justė created her remix of “Turn the Lights Off” in Denmark with her manager, Jon Norgaard, who was the producer and vocalist on the original mix in 2010. When they decided to revisit the project 15 years after it was first created, Justė knew she wanted to modernize it by introducing a speed garage sound that felt authentic to her own musical taste as well as Denmark’s evolving electronic scene. Although the genre has foundations in the 1990s and early 2000s, the gritty, heavy bass and dub-infused sound is making a comeback in the name of nostalgia. Thanks to her viral hit, that sound has gone global.
As the 23-year-old DJ makes a name for herself across Denmark’s club scene, she combines elements of speed garage with techno and psytrance. The evolution of her sound has been heavily shaped by her own journey from growing up and attending music school in Lithuania to her move to Denmark that she says “changed everything.”
“Every period of my life leads me to a different genre because when I lived in Lithuania, I used to listen to pop music and Lithuanian music as well,” she tells LOOP. “Later on, when I moved to Denmark and kind of changed my identity, I went into techno and trance. Now I’m finding myself again in something that is more emotional and, if talking about genre, speed garage seems the most attractive and promising for me right now.”

Music has helped bridge different versions of herself by acting as a through-line in every era. Moving to an entirely different country didn’t come without its challenges. She had to adapt to a new government, which she says is stricter than the government under which she was raised. She also grappled with a changing identity as both a musician and an individual. “It shaped me into a more confident artist while performing and creating new soundscapes,” she says.
Navigating new relationships with people and spaces was also difficult, but music filled in the gaps. “Because of music, I found a much deeper connection with myself and with others as well. By making and playing the music I love, I feel more alive, synchronised and energetic. The music that I make and share attracts like-minded people, which I love as well.”

As Justė gears up for a full schedule of shows across festivals and nightclubs, she’s laying the blueprint for an international takeover. Her first solo single, “World of Wonders,” which was released in October 2025, already has over 528,000 streams on Spotify alone. It showcases her passion for psytrance with a layered, futuristic and melodic sound against lyrics that prove she’s got something special to share with the world.
Her message? The world is magical, if you’re willing to open your eyes to it. “There is nothing impossible on this planet and it’s only up to us how much we unlock the limits of our minds to let it all happen,” she says.
Step into her magical world of wonder, where electricity transcends the current realm and music is a portal through which our greater selves are envisioned. Listen to her track below!
