Strike a pose….
We are still recovering from the weekend when Art Hearts Fashion rocked Los Angeles Fashion Week in DTLA at the iconic Majestic Downtown. This year, Art Hearts Fashion celebrated its 10 year anniversary of putting on the most iconic, diverse, inclusive and creative fashion shows in LA.
The lineup was curated by Art Hearts Founder Erik Rosete, a prominent Latin American serial fashion entrepreneur and fashion designer (Mister Triple X) who was born and raised in LA. Highlights included Saturday’s series of runway shows from Mexican and LatinX designers, including Giannina Azar, Coral Castillo, and Walter Mendez and several of Bravo TV’s successful “Project Runway” including celebrity fashion designer Michael Costello, Natalia Fedner, Kentaro Kameyama and Mondo Guerra.
’90s and y2k icon Richie Rich also debuted a new 90’s throwback streetwear collection under his new fashion brand, Richerette while innovative sustainable and eco-friendly fashion brands including Love For Upcycling hit the runway.
But some of the most exciting action happened off the runway. Grammy-nominated artist Akon showed up on the first day, while Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney were spotted taking in the Michael Costello show from the front row. Other famous faces and influencers to swing by the shows included legendary supermodel Janice Dickinson, singer Septimius the Great, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Salina EsTitties, Vogue Mexico fashion editor Jose Forteza, MMA fighters Jarret “Bear” Fiorda and Jorge Masvidal and more.
