So So Def Festival Unexpectedly Postponed Until Spring 2024

And the anticipation continues…

Hip-hop and R&B fans excitedly anticipated the 30th Annual So So Def Festival, but they were met with disappointment when admin announced the festival is postponed until Spring 2024. The announcement came less than two weeks before the festival was supposed to take place. 

So So Def celebrates the Atlanta-based record label and was supposed to take place October 7th and 8th in Atlanta’s Central Park. Patrons received an email on Sept. 27 claiming “The So So Def Festival has been postponed. More details coming soon.”

Jermaine Dupri, who founded the So So Def label has yet to make a statement, but has deleted evidence of the upcoming festival from his social media. 

The lineup included So So Def past and present artists including Xscape, Jagged Edge, Da Brat, Bow Wow, Dondria, and Dem Franchize Boyz. Other exciting guests included  Ari Lennox, Monica, T.I., Anthony Hamilton, Mario, Dru Hill, T-Pain, Bryan-Michael Cox, DVSN, Pleasure P and Keri Hilson.

Fans do not know if the line up will remain the same, as the only details from the festival’s website state that So So Def shall be rescheduled for Spring 2024. For now, Dupri seems to be focusing on the BET HipHop Awards, which oare going down Oct. 3.
