Holi Brunch at Baar Baar Los Angeles

Modern Indian restaurant, Baar Baar Los Angeles, is welcoming guests to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors, with a specialty brunch this Sunday, in the heart of DTLA. Baar Baar’s Holi Brunch is $49 per person and will feature a live DJ bumping Bollywood beats, food stations, and a special curated menu from Chef Sujan Sarkar.

Brunch will feature counters of live Chaats, a traditional street food in India, with a variety of Pani Puri with traditional Jaljeera and Passionfruit Water; Raj Kachori with Dahi Bhalla, Pomegranate and Sev; Dal Moradabadi with Crushed Papdi; and Sindhi Samosa Kadhi Chaat. Guests have a choice of a main dish including an option of Fava & Corn Kofta with Spinach & Swiss Chard, Lotus Root Crisp; Dum Jackfruit Biryani with Caramelized Onion, Mint, Raita; Mutton Rogan Josh On-The-Bone Goat with Saffron and Ginger; Kadhai Chicken with Peppers, Onions and Fenugreek and more. ‘Once Upon a Cocktail’ Mixology Class at Fred Segal

How convenient is it that National Cocktail Day also falls during Women’s History Month?! The forces behind Once Upon a Cocktail are taking full advantage and hosting a fun mixology class. This class will celebrate the women whose stories are undertold in the history of creating cocktails. Guests will not only meet the founder and illustrator of Once Upon a Cocktail, Katie Brightside, but they will also interact with cocktail curator Sarah L.M. Mengoni who will lead the class. 

After being treated to a welcome bite and drink, patrons will learn how to make a cocktail that was actually created by a woman almost 100 years ago. This class is beginner friendly, and will also have non-alcoholic options for all participants. You’ll walk away with new knowledge and appreciation for women’s history in the cocktail industry.
