Think Pink: Everything You Need To Know About E.P. & L.P.’s Sparkling Pink Pop Up
- By: Brianna Rose Hewitt
As Lizzo said, pink goes with everything…
For the people who read Pink-a-licious as a kid, this one’s for you. E.P. & L.P., a nightlife staple in West Hollywood, is in full swing with their Sparkling Pink LA pop-up. It’s perfect for girls night, a celebratory drink, or a date night where you drag your partner to embrace their inner-love for pink.
The second floor of the restaurant and bar looks like it belongs in the set of a Barbie movie with a variety of pink, sparkly decor including a variety of streamers and garland, tulle ceiling lights, giant heart balloons and disco balls, and of course pink drinks to match.
One can truly customize their experience at Sparkling Pink as you can pay for a regular cocktail ticket, or go on Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon for a weekend brunch. Regular cocktail tickets are priced at $25 per person and include a welcome drink and a 90 minute reservation. Weekend brunch tickets are priced at $50 dollars per person, and include a welcome cocktail as well as an entreé and 90 minute reservation.
All six cocktails are priced at $18, and there is something for everyone here. The cocktails are also named after famous songs, so you can choose based on your personal taste or allegiance to your fandom.
In honor of Nicki Minaj, there is the Pink Friday which includes Gran Corimino Tequila, Strawberry Lime, Agave, and Pink Himalayan Salt. For the Lady Gaga fans, there is the Bad Romance, this bar’s interpretation of an Espresso Martini as it is made out of Créme de Cacao, Sugar, Espresso, and Chocolate Bitters.
For Nelly Furtado, there is the Maneater that features 400 Conejos Mezcal, Maraschino Liqueur, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Lemon, and Cranberry Bitters. Rose Coloured Glasses, which is rumored to be based on the Blue Rodeo version, includes Gin, Raspberry Syrup, Lemon, and Fee Foam.
Love on Tour might be over, but you can relive Harry Styles‘s iconic performance with Watermelon Sugar, which includes Vodka, St. Germain, Watermelon, Lemon, and Rhubarb Bitters. And of course no pop-culture inspired cocktail list is complete without the queen herself, Beyoncé. The Cuff It features The Stranhan’s Blue Peak Whiskey, Lemon, Pomegranate Syrup, and Fee Foam.
If you are feeling hungry, there’s plenty of food to go along with your pink drink. For the cocktail ticket menu, starters include calamari and truffle arancini. Mains include steak frites, a cheeseburger, vodka pasta, a chicken sandwich, and tacos. If you are someone who needs a sweet treat, this menu also has you covered with the dessert options of pavlova and chocolate torte.
The brunch menu has a different food selection including Avocado Toast, The Hangover Burrito, Crispy Breakfast Hash, and the Breakfast burger. There’s also a variety of sides to choose from.
Patron Heather Traska has described Sparkling Pink saying that “Pretty much this entire restaurant was a photo opp, but don’t sleep on the food and drinks.”
