Usher Attends WcDonald’s Immersive Dining Experience In LA

We’re lovin‘ it…

Mcdonald’s first IRL WcDonald’s restaurant recently popped up in Los Angeles and brought in one of music’s biggest stars (and anime fans).

During the two-day event, Usher and his son Naviyd Ely stopped by the immersive dining experience and enjoyed Chicken WcNuggets, fries, and the new WcDonald’s sauce while chatting with renowned manga artist and illustrator Acky Bright, designer of the WcDonald’s characters and packaging.

The experience was McDonald’s ultimate fusion of anime, entertainment and dining, immersing anime fans in the WcDonald’s universe through a series of 360 and tabletop light projections showing characters from the new world and scenes inspired by the WcDonald’s anime series, all while enjoying a set meal of WcDonald’s menu items.

Usher, a known anime fan, recently delighted fans when he shared a TikTok of himself cosplaying a classic anime character. So when the “Yeah” singer and his son were driving by the WcDonald’s experience, they just had to pop in and compliment Bright on his work.

This first-of-its-kind experience was a part of McDonald’s global campaign that brings to life the fan inspired, anime world of WcDonald’s with a new sauce, anime series and original packaging – all made in collaboration with some of the biggest names in anime.

And while the pop-up was only in LA for two days, the sauce is available now and will be around for a limited time, so McDonald’s customers all over the country can get a chance to try it.
