Black Lagoon Preview

Bring on the summertime spooks! Black Lagoon is an immersive Halloween bar pop-up where mixology meets the macabre. This week will be a little sneak peek into what’s in store for October at Lost Property Bar  in Hollywood when Black Lagoon is in full swing! Created by industry veterans Kelsey Ramage and Erin Hayes, Black Lagoon helps cocktail bars present a dark celebration for those who revel in the mysterious and bizarre, where guests can transport themselves to a world that blurs that line between reality and the supernatural.

When: Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Pasadena Whiskey Festival 

Whiskey lovers unite. Join Pasadena Magazine for a tasting event featuring a variety of iconic and boutique whiskey brands at Santa Anita Park. The evening includes tasting flights, crafted cocktails, savory bites, music, unique experiences and more Participating brands include, Argonaut, Corbin Cash, Hayashi, Shinobu Whisky, Kujira Whisky and more.

The Pasadena Whiskey Festival is part of a four-location tasting series with events in Los Angeles, Orange County, Long Beach and Pasadena in conjunction with Los Angeles Magazine and Orange Coast Magazine.

Brunch All Day: Hosted By Truly Hard Seltzer

To many Angelenos, brunch is considered the best part of the weekend , so why limit it to just a few hours in the morning. This Sunday, Truly LA, the Truly Hard Seltzer tasting room adjacent to the Angel City Brewery the in Downtown L.A. Arts District, is hosting All Day Brunch Party featuring a live DJ starting at 12 p.m., a killer food and drink lineup and unlimited Trumosas for a limited time.

Sunset Vibes Silent Disco


Silence is golden. Get ready to dance under the stars, just steps from the sand on
Vista
‘s huge outdoor patio located at The Strand & Pier Plaza. The Sunset Vibes Silent Disco party will be a  feature five DJs and/or live musicians performing simultaneously on five stages  spinning something for everyone including EDM, house music, nu-disco, hip hop, Latin, pop and remixes from the 70’s to current day. Upon check-in, partygoers will receive high-fidelity headphones with five channels which can be changed with the push of a button to choose your vibe. Each channel glows a different color so you can see what other people are dancing to. Headphone range is about 1/4 mile in every direction, so everyone can spread out, wander and dance anywhere including the beach, pier and plaza.

And get ready to glow as Vista is completely transformed into a neon wonderland with high-powered black lights.

Everyone is welcomed, from families to ravers and ragers. There will be drink discounts at Vista as well as  VIP Fire Pit Tables which can be reserved for up to 12 people.
