Fall is cuffin’ season, after all, and September is certainly upon us. Los Angeles boasts some of the hottest hotel bars from the coast to I-605, and in true West Coast fashion, their cocktail venues are visually stunning and bubbling with ambiance.
Planning a night out in LA sometimes feels like shopping in Kim Kardashian’s closet. With so many options, where do I start? Not to mention, there seems to be a new spot opening every month. And of course, you need to plan ahead, reservations and all. In New Zealand and Australia, we used to roll up to a venue at midnight after having drinks at some house party.
Though my Loop Magazine features have been littered with recommendations for mezcal cocktails from various LA venues, I have yet to review an actual mezcal bar. Well, it’s about damn time, and what better place to start than with Las Perlas WEHO.
Since I moved to Los Angeles when I was 21 years old, I’ve loved the nightlife. At that age, and for the following four years, I couldn’t wait until the clock neared midnight and the clubs came alive.
Although a smaller neighborhood of Los Angeles, Los Feliz is no stranger to fine dining or a crafty cocktail experience. With so many different styles of restaurants and bars, there is a venue in Los Feliz for every person and occasion.
I’m all up for trying new places and always ready to explore the many unique spots that LA has to offer. So, when I was asked to check out The Victorian, I was like sure – it’s been a while since I had a proper night out. Plus, The Victorian is currently one of the IT spots for nightlife and touted as ‘the new Bungalow,’ so I also had to see what all the fuss was about!
Remember when Diddy sent Dnice a full bar stocked with Ciroc and DeLeon, exemplifying the resurgence of luxury gifting to anybody who was anybody during a time in the pandemic when we couldn’t actually be together with the way we wished? That was Ingrid.
While the venues on Rose or Abbot Kinney provide a chic backdrop for a GNO or date night, the bars on Washington Blvd are cool and casual – from funky, dive style to DJs with light shows. But recently, Venice’s most coveted reservation is at The Pier House, which reopened this June with a fresh interior and fun new menu.
Now, E.P. & L.P., Catch Steak, and Melroseplace LA are all a hop, skip, and a jump away, located
near the intersection of Melrose and La Cienega.
From fine dining to neighborhood hotspots, restaurants throughout Los Angeles offer pasta dishes in a range of flavors. Check out my favorites.
