Forget Taco Tuesday. This week, it was Wednesday that was lit on the west side.
On Nov. 8, Cantera Negra Tequila hosted a special party at Create Studios, a gallery style event space in Venice to celebrate the award-winning spirit. Guests got to spend some time with Cantera Negra’s Master Blender Dan Becherano and try out the label’s signature cocktails, such as the Tommy’s Margarita, El Sol, Cantera Siesta and Noche Negra.
There were also Abbot’s Butcher-filled vegan tacos on hand from Tocaya and other bites for partygoers to go enjoy.

Cantera Negra is award-winning, ultra-premium tequila, hand-crafted in small batch quantities from 40 years of family tradition in Mexico. Decades ago, Don Alberto Becherano began making tequila as a hobby, and he has been perfecting his proprietary method for making what we believe to be among the best tasting tequilas in the world ever since, and now alongside his son, Dan, who is the Master Blender.

Method: Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain over ice in a half salt rimmed rocks glass and garnish with blood orange slice.
