Inside ÜCA Terraza: DTLA’s New Latin-Inspired Rooftop Escape
- By: Ani Gutierrez
The Delphi Hotel’s newest rooftop, ÜCA, blends LA’s love for skyline views with Latin flavors and agave-based cocktails.
Los Angeles never runs out of rooftops, but every so often a new one opens that actually makes you want to ditch your old go-tos and start fresh. Enter ÜCA Terraza, the brand-new rooftop perched atop The Delphi Hotel in Downtown LA. With skyline views, Latin-inspired bites, and an agave-heavy cocktail menu that could hold its own in Tulum, ÜCA is officially the rooftop bar you’ll be hearing about all fall. On Wednesday night, LOOP stopped by for an intimate launch gathering hosted by our friends at Diamond PR, and ÜCA immediately earned a spot in our “best rooftops in DTLA” list.

The second the elevator doors opened, we were greeted by a rooftop buzzing with life. Picture this: golden-hour light spilling over skyscrapers, tables dressed with vibrant cocktails, and a guest list filled with LA insiders. Influencers, content creators, PR pros, and nightlife journalists floated between conversations, balancing their drinks while snapping skyline shots for Instagram Stories. It felt less like a typical press preview and more like the kind of chic rooftop dinner party you’d want to crash every week. Heels clicked against the tile, the city lights started to twinkle, and the soundtrack shifted into that perfect mix of laid-back lounge music and lively chatter. It was cinematic LA nightlife at its best.

When it comes to rooftops, the cocktails make or break the vibe. ÜCA’s drink menu leans heavily into agave-based creations, with fun flavor twists that keep you curious enough to order “just one more.” I found myself staring at the menu a little too long, torn between the fruity Street Mango and the Aztecco, an espresso martini with a bold Latin edge. In a moment of indecision, I ordered what the guy across from me had, the Aztecco, and it did not disappoint. Velvety smooth, lightly sweet, and dangerously easy to sip, it was the kind of cocktail that sets the tone for an unforgettable night.
For round two, I couldn’t resist the Aloe Healing, a jalapeño-kissed cocktail that arrived with a soft green glow that looked as refreshing as it tasted. It was fresh, fiery, and surprisingly balanced, the kind of drink that leaves you feeling like you discovered a secret menu item, even though it’s right there in print.

ÜCA doesn’t just rely on pretty drinks and skyline views; the food is just as memorable. The menu takes Latin-inspired flavors and fuses them with fresh California touches. Shared plates circled the tables all night, but the clear winner was the Selección De Salsas. Simple, yes, but when salsas are this fresh, spicy, and endlessly dippable, it’s basically impossible to stop. Other dishes followed that same lively rhythm of bold flavor meets bright freshness. Each bite had that satisfying balance of spice and zest that pairs perfectly with tequila and mezcal-heavy cocktails.

As the night unfolded, ÜCA proved itself more than just a pretty rooftop. It’s got the escapist vibe Angelenos crave, somewhere you can sip smoky mezcal cocktails, snack on shareable Latin plates, and pretend you’re on vacation without ever leaving DTLA. From its Tulum-inspired design elements to its curated cocktail program, ÜCA is exactly the kind of place Downtown has been missing. Whether you’re looking for a new date night spot, a girls’ night rooftop with skyline views, or a post-work escape that feels way more glamorous than your usual happy hour, this is it.
Next time you’re planning your LA night-out rotation, add ÜCA Terraza to the list, because sometimes the best way to experience the city is 10 floors up, cocktail in hand, watching the skyline sparkle around you.
