OTOTO Goes All Out For Annual World Sake Day Celebration

Sake to me…

Oct. 1 is World Sake Day, and while there are probably celebrations all over the world, how many are held at the only sake restaurant to ever win a James Beard Award? Just one, and it’s right here in Los Angeles.

L.A.’s destination for all things sake, OTOTO, will be celebrating World Sake Day with 65 (yes, 65!) sake at their annual gathering of importers and brewers from all over Japan.

The ticketed event will include a tasting of dozens of sake – some never available in Los Angeles until now – poured by importers and, for the very first time, the actual brewers from Akabu and Heiwa Shuzo. Light snacks from OTOTO and neighboring  Tsubaki will also be served and bottles will be available for purchase at a discount.
