How Shahs of Sunset’s Sara Jeihooni gets Ready For A Night Out in LA

Sara Jeihooni

Sara Jeihooni made her reality TV debut on Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset weeks before the world shut down due to the global pandemic.

On the show’s eighth season, which aired in February, Jeihooni met the group of Persian-American friends living in Los Angeles and became an integral part of the show. Here, the new cast member, who resides in West Hollywood, shares her favorite things about nightlife in LA.

Did you ever think you would be on reality TV?

I wasn’t looking for it, but when they approached me, I didn’t have any hesitation either. It felt appropriate. Living in LA, in Hollywood, family traditions, all of that mixed in one show, I was so in.

How have you been doing in quarantine?

It has been exceptionally challenging, especially because of when the show came out and the timing of this pandemic. I don’t think it was good timing for anyone, but I’m making the most of it and using the time to do other things that I put on the back-burner. I’m just thankful everyone around me has been safe

Any cocktails you’ve perfected while being at home?

My spicy margarita is probably the best you’ll ever have. I like them very spicy!

What’s the first thing you can’t wait to do when things get back to normal?

I am just excited to go to a club. Before the pandemic, you couldn’t get me to go to a club anymore; I was so over it! But now that it’s been taken away from me, I just want to hear really loud music and be in a place where everybody in the city can come together again.

Take us through your process of getting ready for a night out.

Well, there’s glam. You book the hair, you book the makeup. There’s a lot of running around to get your outfit, because I always do it last minute. And then usually everyone meets up at my place, and then we’re out on the town.

What’s your go-to night-out outfit?

It’s always changing, but right now, it’s the black leather pants and a sexy corset top or some cute top and heels. Chic, fun, sexy, but not restricting.

How do you make your look last throughout the night?

It’s all in the primer. It really is; that and your moisturizer are going to make all the difference.

Where are your favorite places to party?

In this town, it really matters the night of the week. I love DelilahBootsy Bellows, you know, the staples. But I’m really into the dinners and that whole vibe.

Where are your favorite restaurants?

I love TAO, the energy there is amazing. Nobu MalibuGiorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Cecconi’s—there’s so many.

What’s an ideal date night for you?

My ideal date night in LA would be a nice dinner because I think it says a lot about the person and the place they pick; I’m really into the ambiance and just talking and getting to know that person. And the places in LA are very sexy.
