Monday Night Vibes at Station1640
Kick off the week with the ultimate R&B karaoke event, Monday Night Vibes at Station1640. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned pro or new to the mic; they’ve got you covered. While you get your sing on, enjoy delectable culinary delights, sip on refreshing libations, and immerse yourself in the aura of relaxation with flavorsome hookah.

Sparkle Under The Stars: A Champagne Tasting at House of Cocotte
This Tuesday, House of Cocotte and Hillside Wines present, in partnership with Wine-Street.com, an effervescent evening of Champagne tasting with Esterlin Champagne. Exceptionally in town from France, Esterlin Champagne has traveled to House of Cocotte to showcase their exquisite “Éclat” cuvée (sparkle in French). Brand ambassador and sales director of Esterlin Champagne, Alexis Vaernewyck will be personally present to guide guests through the tasting and bottle signature.
Guests will taste four different champagnes, paired with curated appetizers. There will also be a sabrage performed by Maître Sabreur Bruno Laclotte plus prizes to win, including a Magnum of the top cuvée (value $300).

Chicas On the Rocks Taking Over at Flamingo Bar DTLA
Get ready gals and ghouls! Chicas On the Rocks are taking over Flamingo Bar DTLA this Tuesday with a Tiki Zombie-themed menu featuring some of their favorite spirits including Madre Mezcal, Milagro Tequila, Condesa Gin, Maker’s Mark and Los Siete Misterios Mezcal. Tiki attire is encouraged but not required. All zombies get in free (and so does everyone else).

Lost Thursdays at Lost But Found Bar DTLA
Get lost in the music! Lost Thursdays is a weekly R&B and Hip-Hop party at Lost But Found Bar in DTLA, the buzzed about black-owned TikTok bar. Be ready to groove to the beats and let loose on the dance floor. This event is all about good vibes and great music.

Day Party On Melrose
Day Party on Melrose is a unforgettable experience featuring LA’s best DJs. This week, the lineup includes DJ Collab, DJ Ceehudd, DJ Taetoomuch and DJ Bugsy. Day Party on Melrose’s vision is to create a care-free, relaxing, “come as you are” environment where you can let your hair down, be yourself, dance, and sing along with your friends. The event also offers a culinary explosion of traditional Los Angeles food available for all patrons.

Deep House Brunch Pool Party at Level 8
Deep House Brunch returns to Golden Hour at Level 8 for the pool party season closer. Known for its spectacular views above DTLA, Golden Hour will welcome sizzling DJs Scotty Boy, JJ Flores, Christain Bradford, David Bullock and more while the space’s famous Carousel Bar will turn out tempting tropical cocktails.

2024 LA Beer Fest – Oktoberfest Edition
The semi-annual LA Beer Festival returns Oct 12 with a Bavarian twist! In addition to 60 local breweries and a dozen of LA’s best food trucks, our Oktoberfest edition will feature Festmeister Hans Und Die Sauerkrauts” and a Bavarian beer village.
The 2024 LA Beer Festival will take place at LA Center Studios Studios from noon to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.. GA tickets include unlimited beer tastings with food sold separately. Connoisseur’s Ticket ($90) are limited and offer attendees exclusive air conditioned bathrooms, an indoor/outdoor event deck overlooking the event featuring limited beers/one-offs not available to general admission, and commemorative steins.

The Purge College Costume Party at The Circle OC
Halloween comes early at the biggest college costume party of the year is going down this Saturday at the Circle OC. The theme is The Purge and there will be surprise DJs, playing all the best hip-hop, Top 40, EDM, reggaeton, and more.

The Haza Party LA at Love Note DTLA
Brooklyn-based dance party Haza returns to Los Angeles for a night of Arab, Asian, and Pan-African dance music from the diasporas and beyond. Haza started in 2019 at a small bar in Brooklyn, and has since grown to become a New York Times-acclaimed staple in the Arab and global dance nightlife space. Going down at Love Note DTLA, it will be a Saturday, night of non-stop dancing and global sounds featuring resident DJs Myyuh and Carmen Sandiego and sounds like Sherine meets Daddy Yankee, Amr Diab meets Wizkid, Arab pop meets Jersey Club, Afrohouse meets Dabke, Mahraganat meets Bhangra, Shaabi meets Reggaeton.

Nightcall Saturdays at The Highlight Room

OFF THE HOOK Seafood Festival at Santa Monica Pier
The OFF THE HOOK Seafood Festival returns to the iconic Santa Monica Pier on Sunday, Oct. 13, showcasing the city’s best restaurants and chefs and their favorite underwater ingredients.
Benefiting Heal the Bay, attendees will enjoy incredible seafood tastings such as oysters, lobster, shrimp, and sushi along with beer and wine gardens, live music from popular Yacht Rock band The Windbreakers, games, oyster shucking competition, artisan vendors, and a Sustainable Seafood VIP Lounge, sponsored by Santa Monica Seafood.
Attendees can enjoy tastings from Westside favorites such as Chef Govind Armstrong of The Lobster, Raphael Lunetta’s Marelle, Chef Job Carder of Michael’s Santa Monica, Chef Brian Bornemann of Crudo e Nudo, Santa Monica Seafood, Blue Plate Oysterette, Sushi Roku, Gladstones, Tiato, BOA, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Killer Shrimp, The Albright, Layla, Ocean Prime Beverly Hills, The Surfing Fox, Santa Monica Whaler, and more. The crowd favorite Oyster Shucking Competition, sponsored by The Albright, will also return where competitors battle it out for “Best in Shuck” award for who can shuck the most oysters in two minutes.
General Admission Tickets start at $85.00 and include all-you-can-eat seafood tastings from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., access to the beer and wine garden, spirits tastings, live music, games, and more. Cold Waves LA Showcase at The Mayan
Cold Waves‘ annual fall soiree in DTLA is going down this Sunday at the gorgeous Mayan Theater, featuring a stellar lineup of dark electronic synthpop, goth, industrial and more, focusing on keeping things HOTT. This year’s lineup will feature a cathartic performance from headliner Iamx, the first West Coast appearance in 20 years from Germany’s Beborn Beton, a rare return for Swedish synth darlings Kite (recently signed to Dais) and the always-scorching Patriarchy. We also welcome House Of Heaven, in support of a gorgeous new album, Portlands ferocious electro duo Puerta Negra, and the formidable, hypnotic vocal stylings of MS Boan. The party goes from doors to lights out at Stage Left with our darkling selectors Rev. John and Baby Magick on the decks.
In its 12th year, Cold Waves continues to celebrate the originators and the newest talent in the darker realms of electronic music. Originating in Chicago, and founders of the Darkest Before Dawn non-profit, Cold Waves stretched to the coasts in 2017 with events in Los Angeles, as well as NYC and co-pro events in many other cities, eventually working with the Cracknation Agency to build further bookings for many of its artists.
