Top 6 Girls Trip Destinations To Add On Your Itinerary

Girls Trip

What girl doesn’t love a glass of wine (or bottle)?

Whether you’re planning a birthday weekend, bachelorette party, or just a week away from the stress of the real world, every girls trip needs an itinerary to make the most out of vacationing with your best friends. In order to make your travel planning a little easier, we carefully curated a list of major cities that offer unique and gratifying experiences for all the ladies.

Los Angeles

is for fun activities.

Get your culture on at The Getty Center, containing one of the most visited museums in the world. The Getty Museum conveys American and European history through elegant pre-20th-century paintings and 19th-century photographs. Contemporary and modern sculptures are also on display inside quite an architecturally-impressive building. If you aren’t as big of an art nerd as your other girlfriends, you can take a little stroll in one of the several immaculate gardens, like the Central Garden, including more than 500 varieties of plant material among a landscape that changes with the seasons.

Another entertaining activity in the LA area is the Malibu Wine Safari. What girl doesn’t love a glass of wine (or bottle) and cute animals? This safari spreads across 1,000 acres of Saddlerock Ranch and Vineyard in Malibu, offering six different local wine tastings (both red and white) along the journey in an open-air vehicle. As an animal sanctuary, Saddlerock Ranch holds a variety of exotic animals including zebras, alpacas, camels, and giraffes, one of which is Stanley the Giraffe, famous for his previous appearances in TV commercials and movies. Complimentary crackers and spreads are included in the tour, but make sure not to share your snacks with the animals as no feeding is allowed!

Las Vegas

is for going out.

Famously known as a bachelorette party hotspot, Las Vegas provides countless reasons why you should pack a different dress for each day of the week on this trip. Before a big night out, make sure to stop by Drybar Las Vegas in the Miracle Mile Shops for a gorgeous blowout. This hair salon is unique and super dope, featuring a full bar so you can sip while your hair dries and then hit up its mini-photography studio to capture your fresh look. Oh and there’s a DJ spinning during all of this, adding to the perfect mix of pregaming and getting ready with the girls.

Once you’re all dolled up, head to Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace for an interactive nightlife experience. This swanky tri-level club boasts an incredible view from the top floor: a massive LED chandelier swinging to the music and shining light on the dancers. One of Omnia’s hottest parties is known as Wild at Heart Tuesdays set in its luxurious ultra-lounge designed with feminine touches, providing innovative themes, musical acts and an overall sexy ambience for girls to let loose and have fun. Other major nightclubs that guarantee amazing music and atmosphere are Marquee at the Cosmopolitan, which is also good for day parties, and XS Nightclub at Encore.

New York City

is for entertainment.

For one of the most memorable shows of your life, a reserved seat at Broadway is as essential to your New York trip as packing enough underwear. What is Broadway exactly? Firstly, it’s a wide and long street that runs through NYC’s Theater District and secondly, “Broadway Theater” refers to any of the 40 theaters lining the infamous street with a seating capacity of 500 or more. Choosing a Broadway show can be difficult as there are so many amazing options, but for a group of ladies, we highly recommends checking out The Cher Show, Waitress, or Mean Girls. These shows include strong female roles, a chance to sing your heart out and laugh at the so fetch performances. Discounted tickets can be purchased online with the TodayTix app and also on the day of the show by waiting in line at TDF’s TKTS Booth in Duffy Square. Tip: if musicals aren’t your thing, you can catch an awesome comedy show at Carolines on Broadway with top standup comedians.

Another great source of entertainment in the Big Apple serves as the Brooklyn Bowl with a diverse lineup of funk, indie rock, and other genres. This venue provides a thrilling mix of bowling, concerts and really damn good food. The bowling alley is complete with 16 lanes and features an elevated lounge where you can enjoy the show from the best seats in the house. Indulge in a cold beer and Blue Ribbon’s comfort food in one of the large leather Chesterfield sofas while watching your girls kick ass for the team, or they suck, well just enjoy viewing the concert from one of the big screens.

San Diego

is for beach partying.

Pacific Beach (PB) of San Diego is the ultimate party location that includes drinks, dancing, and sun and waves. Whether you’re looking to get your tan on while watching the surfer boys, or dance all evening to a local band, PB is the place for good vibes all day long. Talk a walk down Garnet Street and spontaneously pop into any of the bars that has a good crowd out on the patio – PB Cantina is a classic for tacos and beers with live music. For ocean views and a bit more fancy ambience, make a reservation at JRDN at Tower 23. Sip on a mezcal cocktail or try a delicious bite from the raw bar like ceviche tostadas, all while watching the incredible San Diego sunset.

To switch up the scene, you can also check out the Gaslamp Quarter at night, a historic and lively neighborhood in downtown SD. One of the best outdoor clubs sits atop the Gaslamp Marriott—Altitude Sky Lounge—featuring hip DJs, a blazing fire pit, and panoramic views of the harbor and Coronado island. This elite and modern space also provides bottle service, happy hour specials, and small plates.

Miami

is for treating yourself .

Miami can also serve as a beach party destination, but let’s focus on the more relaxing opportunities it has to offer. For example, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, boasts a world-class spa complete with a Turkish Bath, tea room and ocean views from every angle. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental also delivers a luxurious experience, pampering guests with treatments like Thai massages and the “medical pedicure,” which includes roughly an hour of a foot rub with restorative oils and a final product of flawless toenails.

Next on the list, is undeniably, a Miami shopping spree. Treat yourselves to the max by visiting the glamorous Design District, stretching over 18 blocks filled with boutiques and designer stores. The area of Collins and Lincoln has all of the high-end accessories to meet your luxurious lifestyle needs, from Versace and Armani to Nicole Miller and Bvlgari. Locally-owned art galleries and upscale bars and restaurants are also at your service for a cool down from your shopping extravaganza.

Atlanta

Is for dining.

Let’s face it, some of the best vacations are based around eating, eating, and eating. And there ain’t no better place for that than Atlanta, Georgia—especially when it comes to comfort food. The number one spot for authentic southern breakfast and lunch is Buttermilk Kitchen, serving up classics like chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy, and the best fried chicken biscuit in town. Almost everything is made from scratch, using fresh local ingredients. Brunch is served on the weekends from 8am to 3pm with a separate menu that features a tasty hangover-curable ½ pound waffle burger served with truffled potato.

Another prime location for Sunday brunch with the girls is at The Lawrence, a stylish and laidback restaurant in Midtown. Along with contemporary Southern fare, The Lawrence offers large carafes of mimosas flavored with orange blossom or grapefruit for $30. If you need a break from sparkling wine, try the Brunch Milk Punch, composed of cognac, aged rum, whole milk, vanilla and nutmeg. The drinks are just as delicious as the food menu items, like crab cake benedict and banana bread french toast.
