Things To Do In L.A. This Week

What’s going down Oct. 16-22

Fashion, dance parties, musical events and more! October is shaping to be quite the month for Los Angeles. It’s hard to believe we are officially over halfway through the month, but we aren’t letting that stop us from finding the best events of the week. Here at Loop Magazine, we are researching daily to bring the most hot spectacles to you, and here’s what we have gathered for the 16th-22nd.

Monday Night Vibes at Station 1640

Calling all singers or singer-appreciates. Monday Night Vibes at Station 1640 gives you the opportunity to sing your heart out with karaoke night. The vibes of Monday Night Vibes are definitely centered around R&B and hip-hop, so guests can vibe while choosing from an extensive drink menu. Station 1640 also describes itself as a premier Hollywood nightlife venue. Open seven days a week, you know they are experts in keeping a party running.

MNV also chooses themes depending on the week. A couple weeks ago they chose Lil Kim as their main artist and this past week it was “Ginuwine Edition.”

Paris at Night at Boosty Bellows

In LA, you can party any day of the week. If you are feeling the urge to dance your heart out on a random Tuesday, head over to Bootsy Bellows. Their weekly Paris at Night party will have you jamming until 2 a.m. with line up OCHOK + friends.

The Bootsy Bellows vibes are just what one needs for a midweek pick me up, as the club is inspired by Frank Sinatra’s 1940s Palm Springs Home. The pink and green color palette and living room style furniture will make you feel transported to the desert even before the temperature picks up from all the dancing.

Bottle service is available (for inquiries, contact 818 385 5381), but there is also general admission. General admission is free until 11:15 p.m., and then charges increase afterwards.

You Say Party! We Say Dance! at Palihouse Hotel

Free and fun, some of our favorite f words. But both are hard to simultaneously come by in Los Angeles. Luckily, the Palihouse Hotels next event has us covered. “A new no BS Thursday night,” as it is described, this party is dropping all the formalities of cover fees, a guest list and VIP. It’s just all about dancing – period!

There is a standard dress code of no jerseys, shorts, streetwear, backpacks etc., but that’s the only rule. A pretty sweet deal in our eyes!

Jauz Presents “Wise” at the Academy LA

It’s been five years since the American DJ Jauz released his debut album, The Wise and The Wicked. To celebrate the nickel anniversary, Jauz released a two part album project called Rise of the Wise and Wrath of the Wicked.

Now on tour, the DJ alternates between “Wise” shows and “Wicked” shows, and this week, LA is getting the wise side of the dichotomy. Rise of the Wise, which came out in July is the yin to Wrath of the Wicked’s yang. While the “Wicked” album is more dark, “Wise” focuses on growth.

Listen to some house, tech, and melodic tracks this Saturday the 21st. For tickets, visit HERE.
