Yoi Toki: A Future Funk / Vaporwave Party at Teragram Ballroom

Yoi Toki returns to Los Angeles at Terageram Ballroom for a night of Future Funk insanity. Future Funk is a Vaporwave subgenre that emerged around 2010 (championed by artists such as Yung Bae, Night Tempo and Macross 82-99). It draws from 70s disco, disco house, vaporwave and Japanese City Pop influences, resulting in a sound that is upbeat, insanely danceable, very disco and very funky. Future Funk’s aesthetic is a nostalgic mix 90s anime and ’80s consumer culture. This Friday, the lineup will include DJs like Jak Syn, Prom1se, and 96.FM.

Brunch Electronik at Exposition Park
